Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Chief Enterprise Architect (CEA) works closely with IT leadership, Corporate Functions, business partners, and enterprise architects to define and lead key capability investment priorities, data standards, and technology/architecture frameworks. The CEA will define the relevant technology, data, and digital needs for K-C, providing relevant and contemporary leadership in envisioning K-C digital, growth capabilities.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Enterprise Architecture team; establish professional acumen expectations, partnerships and year-over-year deliverables
  • Set the vision for current and future-state technology, supporting business growth capabilities
  • Define the future and current state technology stack supporting modern components that enable rapid application deployment for K-C
  • Define a vision that traverses the technology stack from User-Experience / Customer-Experience, data-driven strategic analysis and customer insights, cloud provisioning and embedding AI-ML and Cognitive into our current systems
  • Assess and evaluate technology capabilities (like IoT, Robotics, VR/AR, BlockChain) for compatibility, scalability, and viability in the K-C environment
  • Define the enterprise digital transformation roadmap and phased approach for its execution to transform K-Cs ability to deliver growth capabilities around commercial transformation through digital technologies
  • Research and evaluate new and/or alternative solutions and technologies to enhance operational effectiveness, reduce costs and/or system risks and increase speed to market including overseeing Proof of Concepts/Proof of Technologies
  • Define the future state reference architecture for Applications, Data and Infrastructure and drive standardization to leverage Enterprise scale with the goal to drive standardization, simplification, reduce Time to Market and lower TCO
  • Participate in leading industry architecture groups/roundtables/body of knowledge to ensure progressive and realistic approach to Enterprise Architecture
  • Present at leading forums, conferences, etc. to establish K-C as an industry leader in the Enterprise Architecture space

Experience:

  • 15+ years of proven and progressive experience in IT
  • 8+ years of experience in technology development, architecture, integration & management
  • 5+ years of prior hands-on coding experience as full-stack engineer in their career
  • Global exposure in a multi-national company is an asset

Professional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a leader of people (first and foremost), programs/platforms and overall architecture vision/strategy for large scale global companies; CPG and/or manufacturing experience is an added advantage
  • Demonstrated experience as a CEA with the ability to assess & define current-state architecture and drive toward an agile future-state architecture
  • Pragmatic leader with combined business and technical acumen
  • Experience creating strategies for digital solution maximization across diverse areas of business including implementation of digital strategies, processes, and techniques
  • Full understanding across multiple technical areas - coding in modern languages including mobile app and backend development, data science and information architecture, modern IT architecture modeling, CICD, automation principles and IT security
  • Familiarity with business and technical concepts such as business process design, applications development, and service management
  • Innovative, detail-oriented, and extremely effective in stressful and challenging environments
  • Demonstrated success in the development of new or existing product strategies from conception to implementation, and solution design
  • Agile development methodology
  • Fluent in contemporary Digital technologies and platforms, including UX, APIs, MicroServices, AI and Machine Learning, Analytics, XaaS
  • Proven ability to collaboratively and passionately foster a digital transformation culture
  • Practical skill, knowledge, and experience in architecting and/or co-leading a digital transformation journey with expertise in digital decoupling architecture
  • Senior level knowledge of the system development life cycle, and system and application program development technological alternatives and architecture methodologies for multi-platform environments
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary technology and business trends that allows architecture to solve problems in a creative and cost-effective manner
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies, including communication, culture change and performance measurement system use
  • Proven technology business partner to peers and leadership with the ability to think strategically and apply new technologies that result in increased competitive advantage
  • Proven experience in navigating complex organizations, creative problem solving, and rational experimentation
  • Effective communicator, collaborative and engaging leader with a proven ability to lead, train and uplift the skills of the global enterprise architecture team

Education and certifications required/preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience; Master's degree is highly desirable
  • Relevant technical/IT-related certifications, such as: Azure Solutions Architect Expert/AWS Certified Solution Expert/Google Professional Cloud Expert or other relevant cloud certifications/credentials, The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) Enterprise Architecture Specialist or Enterprise Architecture Leader, CISSP Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (CISSIP-ISSAP), SAP Certified Technology Professional - System Security Architect or SAP Certified Application Professional - Financials in SAP S/4HANA for SAP ERP Finance Experts (SAP S/4HANA 2021), etc.


The role location is flexible with a preference for either Dallas, Texas; Chicago, IL; Atlanta, Georgia; or Neenah, Wisconsin.
