The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC) seeks a dynamic, distinguished executive to serve as its next Chief Operating Officer (COO). As a member of the senior leadership team of University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, the COO, UIHC is responsible for ensuring that UIHC achieves the highest levels of quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and financial performance through a commitment to operational efficiency across the entire patient care platform. The COO, UIHC has responsibility for working with other senior leaders to manage UIHC operations across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical settings.

POSITION SUMMARY
The COO, UIHC has responsibility for all main campus operations across the inpatient, outpatient, and surgical environments. The COO, UIHC partners with the Chief Nursing Executive and Chief Medical Officer to ensure that the clinical platform achieves high levels of operational efficiency, quality outcomes, and patient satisfaction while promoting employee engagement.
