Required Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
• License to practice professional nursing in the State of Iowa
• 1-3 years RN experience in acute care or ambulatory clinic setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required including ability to compose communications and grammatically correct documents in a concise, logical and organized manner.
• Proficient in computer software applications (Microsoft Office Programs)
• Ability to anticipate needs, problems and potential issues and use judgment, foresight and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot, recommend and implement solutions.
• Patient centered and a patient advocate

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience working in a pediatric healthcare setting
• Experience with genetic eye diseases and genetic patients.
• 3+ years of experience working in a clinical eye setting highly desired.
• Must have good working knowledge of human genetics highly desired.
• Some knowledge of University policies and procedures, and regulations.
