Basic Function

Candidate will review and provide guidance for the various technical projects of the Cloud Operations team. This position will be a technical track and not have any direct reports, rather focus strictly on multi cloud technology to the LYB environment and strategic partnership relationships. The role will work closely with leadership to uncover opportunities to apply technology, provide technical oversight on projects, and be the lead operational technologist for their area of expertise. The position will perform operational oversight with technology stakeholders, in addition be the go-to technical cloud expert. The role will provide strategic advice and guidance to the functional team(s) and requires an in-depth understanding of the current cloud technology footprint and capabilities including technology roadmaps across the enterprise. Highly skilled with broad, advanced cloud (Azure) technical experience; this individual is able to influence, guide and direct senior IT leaders across the organization, ensuring Global Technology Operations is equipped, able and executing in ensuring business objectives are met.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support the team to adopt and improve our SecDevOps pipelines and automation solutions including but not limited infrastructure security, IaC, automated provisioning, CI/CD pipeline and Cloud Foundation Services including Guardrails, governance, policies and controls.
• Oversea the build and delivery of all aspects of cloud infrastructure and cloud workloads including secure workloads, customer identity and our corporate cloud infrastructure in Azure AD
• Work closely with infrastructure architecture and networking team to design and document complex systems, focusing on operations and security as they fit into the LYB environment.
• Collaborate as a senior technical member of the Cloud team and maintain "big picture" perspective to ensure cloud project alignment across groups.
• Contribute to the build of the technical vision for the Cloud technology with a 3-to-5-year roadmap.
• Act as the Global Cloud SecDevOps Technology technical liaison to interface with Network, Security, Application Support and team stakeholders to ensure roadmap alignment.
• Attend technical design meetings and project funding request meetings to ensure infrastructure / business projects are aligned with Global Technology Operations supported infrastructure.
• Provide technical project and architecture documentation.
• Act as mentor to junior team members and participate in knowledge transfer activities.
• Partnering with senior IT leaders to establish a strategic and operational framework used to craft short and long-term objectives and key results as well defining the vision and roadmaps.
• Managing all aspects of culture and engagement projects, including activities designed to foster associate's well-being and engagement aligned with the company's culture and values.
• Applying expert analytical rigor to define outcome measures, improve prioritization, increase agility in decisions, improve ability to evaluate progress towards business outcomes, and to evaluate risks to strategic goals.

Min. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in related field, e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in technical administration level positions
• 10+ years of experience designing, implementing and supporting a broad scope of core technical solutions e.g., SecDevOps, Networking, AKS, Backup/DR, Workload Migration, AAD, Guardrails, GitHub and Governance.
• 2+ years of cloud engineering exposure, Azure or similar preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in global vendor / partnership management and engagement
• Excellent communication skills, ability and experience presenting technology to executive level staff - both oral and written
• Experience driving technical conversations with stakeholders at various levels within an organization, including clients, IT technicians/managers and C-level executives.
• Ability to present technical solutions to audiences of varying technical expertise.
