Job Description:

We are seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to join our diverse and dynamic global risk management team. The Cloud Operations Engineer is responsible for oversight and general availability of our internal and customers' cloud environments. The work will include learning about and using many different technologies and deployments, both on premises and cloud.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Deploy catastrophe risk management software solutions to cloud and physical servers.
• Work with internal and external customers to diagnose and resolve issues with the product deployment as they arise.
• Provide proactive continuous improvement of platforms, tools, processes, and automation to support our deployments. Promote and expand automation of operational tasks.
• Help develop and maintain infrastructure as code scripts and tools. Support IT functions hosting services in the cloud.

Job Qualifications:

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience
• Hands-on experience with Windows, Windows/WSL and Linux
• Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and identify potential problems
• Knowledge and Experience scripting in PowerShell and bash
• Proficient with GCP
• Knowledge of Terraform
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical capabilities
• A desire to write tools and applications to automate work rather than do everything by hand

Familiarity with the following is a strong plus:

• Knowledge and Experience scripting in Python
• Knowledge and Experience with MS SQL Server and SQL
• Continuous integration with Jenkins
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and customer SLAs
• Experience with AWS

Annual Pay Range:
97,200 - 125,000 USD
