Itero Group is seeking an experienced Cloud System Architect to join our team in Reston, VA to provide unparalleled support to our customer through the Continuous Diagnostic & Mitigation (CDM) Program. The CDM Program is a high-profile, high-visibility, cybersecurity modernization and risk management program where you can contribute innovative solutions and consult with government agencies to enhance their Information Assurance (IA) programs and continuous monitoring capabilities.

The Cloud System Architect reports to the Agency Lead Enterprise Architect providing
technical expertise of all things Cloud. The position performs a critical role in understanding Agency strategic and programmatic needs, proposing effective enterprise IT solutions, and consistently providing high-level customer service. The position will interface regularly with multiple stakeholders to assist in resolving issues, improving processes, increasing productivity, and ensuring timely delivery of project objectives and tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Assess customer enterprises in order to architect and design Cloud based enterprise

security solutions

• Evaluate, prioritize, and support the design for the optimal solutions to meet customer needs
• Make decisions and resolve project issues efficiently and effectively.
• Interact with various levels of management and technical peers throughout the program
• Must be able to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, share workloads, and deal with sudden shifts in project priorities
• Must be self-driven, identify challenges, and engage with the right teams/peers to solve them
• Be an advisor in all things cloud related
• Support project managers in building, performing, updating, and managing technical projects including resource loading and WBS development
• Identify, manage, and resolve risks

Qualification and Experience Qualifications:

• B.S. in Information Technology or Information Security desired
• 5+ years of Cloud IaaS engineering experience in either AWS or Azure
• 10+ years of enterprise IT engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of IaaS
• Solid understanding of Cloud/On-Prem networking
• Solid experience with Cloud native tools
• Experience architecting, engineering, and implementing Cloud based enterprise IT solutions from cradle to grave
• Experience with On-Prem to Cloud Migrations with understanding of common technical pitfalls
• Knowledge of current Cloud technologies, architectures, best practices, cloud native tools, emerging technologies, and trends
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to concisely describe technical solutions and approaches
• Experience with developing technical proposal
• Must have at least one (1) Cloud Certifications
• Must have at a Security Certification

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with both AWS & AZURE
• Experience Cloud-based Cyber Security tools

Security/Clearance Requirements:

• Must be a US citizen and pass a background investigation.
• Able to obtain and maintain a Client Suitability/Entry on Duty (EOD).
• Able to obtain and maintain Agency Suitability/Entry on Duty (EOD).
• Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance desired.

Physical Requirements:

• Office work, typically sedentary with some movement around the office.
