Job Summary:

The Community Relations Manager is responsible for acquiring new business to maximize and grow top-line revenue. He/she must demonstrate impeccable sales and business acumen with a passion and drive for success, possess excellent communication and presentation skills, and be an effective team player with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.


Essential Functions:


  • Develop in-depth knowledge of New Season's harm reduction model and build referral networks for various markets across the US.
  • Presents educational materials to local communities, agencies, and/or other entities on the importance of addiction treatment options that serve the public interest.
  • Evaluate potential partnerships with varying community resources and/or entities to build long-term, productive, and mutually beneficial relationships that support the mission of providing patient care and referrals.
  • Continuously manage the CRM functions to ensure quality and timeliness of activity and performance reports, analyze report data to project trends and build forecasts, maintain accurate and complete client and prospect databases.
  • Leveraging community contacts to learn about and secure potential funding opportunities and grants.
  • Provides training and support to Program Directors and Center teams regarding the importance of community relations and the impact that it has on patient outcomes and center performance.
  • Works effectively to promote New Season for new and existing clients to maximize New Season's visibility in the medical community.
  • Developing strong relationships with law enforcement and jails through community outreach initiatives.
  • Creating and nurturing partnership opportunities for patients, community support entities, government officials, and varying regulatory bodies (SOTA, DCF, HHS, ADM, etc).
  • Support new Centers in relationship building and Open house events
  • Create and execute a sales plan that meets or exceeds established sales quotas and supports company top-line revenue targets.
  • Work effectively with internal support departments and partners closely
  • Will travel to varying locations across the country to support the organization's initiatives. Must be able to assess travel needs to determine ROI and submit timely reports regarding travel activities and expenses.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

Education/Licensure/Certification: A High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.


Required Knowledge: Solid understanding of community outreach techniques and processes. Knowledge of community funding opportunities and grant research. Understanding of human psychology. Must be computer literate and have knowledge of all Microsoft products, especially Microsoft Outlook and Office, Google Suite, as well as Call Center hardware and software.


Experience Required: 7+ years of experience working in Sales, Community Outreach, and/or Business Development. 3+ years of experience working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team and working independently without supervision. Previous experience in a health care environment is desired.


Skill and Ability: Must possess presentation skills, excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, be able to multitask, prioritize, and be dependable, reliable, and flexible.

Finger Dexterity: Use primarily for writing, operating calculator, telephone, keyboard and other office equipment.

Vision: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to observe patients and work on a computer. Clear vision at 20 inches or less and distant vision at 20 feet or more.


Physical Strength: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.

  • Ability to operate in an open work area with moderate everyday noise.

Mathematics Ability: Basic mathematics (including statistics) skills required.


Language Ability: Be able to communicate fluently in English, second language proficiency helpful.
