Overview / Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced professional to join our technical college as a Composite Fabrication Adjunct Instructor. As an adjunct instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and hands-on training in the field of composite fabrication. Your expertise and industry experience will play a crucial role in preparing our students for successful careers in the composite manufacturing industry.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:
 
    Collaborate with the program director and other faculty members to develop and update a comprehensive curriculum for composite fabrication technology, ensuring alignment with industry standards and emerging trends.Deliver engaging and effective lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on training sessions on various topics related to composite fabrication technology, such as wet layups, bagging, oven operations, trimming, and sanding.Organize and supervise laboratory sessions, allowing students to gain practical experience in proper processes and techniques in composite fabrication technology. Provide guidance on proper equipment usage, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.Develop and administer assessments, exams, and practical evaluations to measure student understanding and progress. Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and knowledge.Engage in continuous professional development activities, such as attending conferences, workshops, and seminars related to aerospace coatings and paint. Stay updated with instructional methodologies and educational technologies.
Education:
    Associates Degree or Technical Certificate in Composite Fabrication or a related field, providing a strong educational foundation for the role and ensuring a comprehensive understanding of composite fabrication principles.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
    Proven expertise and hands-on experience in composite fabrication techniques, processes, and materials, showcasing a practical understanding of industry best practices.Strong knowledge of composite layup, molding, curing, bonding, trimming, and finishing methods, indicating a well-rounded proficiency in various aspects of composite fabrication.Familiarity with the use and maintenance of composite fabrication tools, equipment, and machinery, enabling efficient and safe operation in a manufacturing setting.Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and student needs, promoting inclusive and engaging learning experiences.Commitment to promoting a safe learning environment and adhering to safety protocols, prioritizing the well-being of students and personnel throughout the fabrication process.
Additional Requirements:
    A passion for educating and mentoring students, coupled with a strong commitment to their success, creating a supportive and motivating learning environmentPrevious teaching or training experience in adult education, demonstrating a strong ability to engage and educate adult learners effectively.Proven ability to work independently with little or no supervision, showcasing self-motivation and initiative.Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in all aspects of the role.Capability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines, maintaining a high level of productivity and quality in fast-paced environments.
