Who We Are:

Work in multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, program managers, and technicians to develop spaceflight missions, spacecraft, spacecraft avionics systems, spacecraft payloads, and lighter than air systems. This position has the option of being a fully remote in the following states: AL, AZ, CO Dis. of Columbia, FL, GA, MA, MD, MI, MN, NH, NJ, NC, OH, OK, OR, TX, UT, VA, WV only. We also have onsite locations for this role: Alternate work locations are Boulder, Colorado, San Antonio, Texas and Austin, Texas.

Objectives of this Role:

  • Software developer for high reliability embedded systems for next generation space applications
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
  • Develop and verify mission, spacecraft, and instrument flight software for a variety of space applications applying sound software engineering disciplines and practices.
  • Perform tasks related to applied research, hardware and software integration, testing, implementation, installation, and documentation.
Requirements:
  • Requires a Bachelors in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering
  • Must have knowledge or an interest in development of embedded systems software, real time operating systems, and the design of real-time systems
  • 0-3 years: C/C++ software development experience
  • 0-3 years: Embedded software development experience related to high-reliability systems
  • Must have knowledge or an interest in development of embedded systems software, real time operating systems, and the design of real-time systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in project team environments
  • Interest and/or experience in working with hardware and direct space flight design experience, familiarity with VxWorks, RTEMS, Embedded Linux, low-level networking protocols, and Python is helpful
  • Experience with Git (or similar versioning software), Continuous Integration/Testing, Validation and Verification, and designing software to strongly defined interfaces is beneficial, experience in or an interest in analyzing software utilization, throughput, and memory allocation
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required
  • $62,275-$126,651
