JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description:

Plans, stages, and manages all Facilities project activity for a GLBR R&D Program. Serves as a liaison/consultant between the Corporate Facilities group and businesses, interprets business needs into functional program requirements, leverages Corporate Facility resources to facilitate business objectives, and ensures that the overall strategy matches the business strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Duties:

  • Support overall R&D programming activities.
  • Lead cultural change management with public affairs support.
  • Coordinate meetings and manage relationships with site utility owner(s).
  • Coordinate meetings and manage relationships with local municipalities.
  • Make determinations and provide recommendations for furniture contracts and suppliers.
  • Implement company standards and guidelines throughout all projects.
  • Organize and lead project meetings with functional groups.
  • Identify and address barriers to successful program implementation.
  • Inspire employees and leaders to take appropriate actions to achieve the desired outcomes of the projects.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to create value for the program by improving service level, productivity, and reliability.
  • Deliver program portfolio to affordability, schedule, safety, and quality targets.
  • Manage expectations for program performance and achieve satisfaction goals.
  • Facilitate the program's yearly regional investment plan with regional directors.

Other Job Functions:
  • Adhere to all set company and client policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate any necessary issues with departments both directly and indirectly involved.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree - preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or Project Management
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience with 10 years of preferred experience in the construction or project management field
  • Knowledge and extensive work experience in the corporate environment, complete understanding of Dow's Global Project Methodology is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with knowledge of multiple construction trades including civil, electrical, & mechanical.
  • Understanding and knowledge of any necessary regulations, in which work is being performed, to ensure compliance.
  • Industry specific network to leverage to understand local markets and overall industry status and pulse.
