Job Description

Job Duties for Controller

• Exercising Servant Leadership, manage and develop the Accounting Department, including the Assistant Controller and the Operations Accounting Manager.
• Manage the month end close, budget and forecasting process.
• Play a key role in the development and execution of the strategic plan.
• Ensure that an adequate system of internal controls is in place and adhered to.
• Serve as liaison to corporate in reporting, audits and systems.
• Ensure that inventory costing is accurate and that appropriate controls are in place; develop processes to minimize inventory levels while maintaining customer service.
• Apply a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; verify documents for completeness and compliance with government and private agencies
• Recommend methods, systems, and procedural changes to improve operating efficiency and financial information.
• Accountability over data integrity and the functionality of accounting systems.
• Continuously drive to improve processes, policies, and systems to support the company's growth, improve productivity, and control costs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• MBA and/or CPA preferred
• Experience in ERP systems
• Ability to develop relationships with individuals at all levels, including customers, vendors and other employees
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally through various mediums, including phone, e-mail and formal written communication
• Problem solving and innovation skills, including the ability to analyze, interpret, understand and successfully resolve issues within the best interests of the Company.
• A high level of proficiency in Excel
• Professionalism with consistent ability to balance urgency and decisiveness with patience and compassion
• Discretion in managing proprietary information belonging to the company
