General Description / Primary Purpose:

The Coordinator provides professional analytical research, leadership support, and information services to ensure development officers are working with the University's most financially capable donors.

Job Function:

-Research, gather, analyze, interpret and summarize biographical, SEC, corporate, financial, major world press and other types of information to identify prospects and further the engagement and solicitation of prospects.
-Assist in the management of external vendor prospect screenings and validating screen results.
-Provide accurate, timely and capacity-driven research for development officers and Advancement leadership.
-Provide key support and insight in the maintenance of viable portfolios via portfolio review sessions (including meeting preparation and follow up); provide ongoing analysis and analytics of portfolios, moves and stages.
-Analyze data and produce reports, graphs, and charts reflecting the prospect management module and generating projections as needed.-Ensure integrity of the data for accuracy and reporting.-Provide corporate/foundation research as needed.
-Assist with enhancement and maintenance of policies and procedures documentation supporting best practices.
-Prepare for and participate in prospect review meetings.
-Ensure development staff are working with the University's most financially capable donors and that research efforts are effectively moving prospects through the development cycle.

Required Qualifications:

A Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a directly related area of specialization; or a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and two years of experience directly related to the job functions.

Preference shown to applicants who meet the required qualifications and also possess the following:
-A minimum of two years' experience in prospect research
-Experience in large complex organizations, preferably in higher education
-Proven experience in producing, analyzing and interpreting data to drive actionable strategies
-Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
-Highly effective interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with a broad range of expertise and seniority, and elicit cooperation without direct authority
-Excellent project management skills
-Strong ability to work as an individual contributor and as an integral part of a team
-Excellent writing and oral communication skills
-Ability to be flexible, thorough, accurate, and detail-oriented
-Ability to establish priorities with high degree of independence, manage shifting priorities, and numerous time-sensitive projects to meet multiple deadlines using excellent organizational skills
-Knowledge of ethical and best practices of the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA), Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), Association of Advancement Services Professionals (AASP) and other relevant associations.
-Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
