Corporate Counsel - Contracts Direct-hire opportunity for a Corporate Counsel (Associate Director or Director level) with life sciences experience. This is a newly created role due to company growth!

*Type:* Direct-hire, Full-time
*Location:* Hybrid remote with ~2 days/week onsite in South San Francisco
*Compensation:* $150-250K base salary (estimation)
*Reports to: *COO

What You Will Be Doing This Associate Director/Director, Corporate Counsel position is a newly created role due to company growth!

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Draft, review, and negotiate contractual agreements for all departments (R&D, clinical operations, CMC, regulatory, business development, etc.)
- Maintain compliance in contractual agreements across FDA, HHS/OIG, FCPA, HIPAA, GDPR, SEC and other laws, rules and regulations
- Provide legal direction to internal teams regarding contracts
- Address current legal needs
- Proactively anticipate future legal needs, and make necessary recommendations
- Participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of contracting policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- Reports to COO
What You Need for this Position REQUIRED
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from ABA accredited law school
- 5+ years' experience
- Experience supporting life sciences (biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, therapeutics)

PREFERRED
- Both law firm and in-house corporate experience
