The ideal candidate will provide cost accounting and administrative support to include but not limited to maintaining manufacturing cost files, conducting research, preparing statistical reports, managing information requests, and performing functions such as receipt and invoice reconciliation. This individual will collaborate with other accountants and financial staff at the company's headquarters to provide financial and accounting support to executives and department heads who establish goals and budgets for the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Set up new raw material packaging; maintain periodic cost rolls and updates
  • Develop and analyze costs
  • Complete cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis via collecting and analyzing operational costs
  • Perform account reconciliations
  • Prepare reports and present findings to management
  • Recommend changes to processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit
  • Advise management on appropriate costing based on financial data
  • Receive and process incoming orders
  • Administer invoicing to customers including direct communication with customers
  • Customer pricing maintenance
  • Accounts Payable administration
  • Accounts Receivable administration
  • General Ledger reconciliation
  • Administrative support to President and Vice President

Requirements


  • 2-5 years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with receivables
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer service experience in a B2B environment
  • S. Accounting, CMA a plus
  • Prior experience in an ERP is a plus
  • Strong writing/communicative skills, solid accounting foundation, interpersonal relations, analytical skills, and technical skills
