Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day oversight of the credit and collections processes. Establish policies and procedures, metrics and reporting. Overarching goal is to improve cash velocity and reduce DSO.
- Follow and implement the corporate credit policy for assigned customer portfolio.
- Manage and update credit files for credit limit recommendations on existing and new accounts within assigned territory
- Identify and research disputed items preventing or delaying payment, working with internal stakeholders, as needed, to reconcile accounts and reduce overall delinquency
- Lead monthly A/R aging reviews with the cross-functional team
- Monitor portfolio payment performance, ensure timely collection activities, final demand notices, recommend accounts to be turned over to outside collections agency when internal efforts are unsuccessful.
- Design and implement a customer escalation policy and protocols
- Perform account reconciliations
- Assist in audit requests as necessary
- Assist in special projects, including process improvement, automation, analysis and reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years' progressive experience, including significant, relevant credit & collections experience
- Working knowledge of MS Office (excel) and ERP accounting software (preferably Cloud)
- Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, analytical thinker, good communication and interpersonal skills, well-organized with ability to prioritize, responsible and dependable to meet necessary deadlines; strive for continuous improvement.
