What You'll Do: You will be responsible for validating, balancing, and mailing of various checks to proper owner/members. These functions are preformed multiple times per day. Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver on our promise every day to protect livelihoods and futures. We do this through our value-based work, demonstrating service, integrity, leadership, teamwork, accountability and passion in all touch points with client members, employees, agents and vendors.
  • Review of electronic and physical checks for accuracy and preparing them for mailing.
  • Reviews loan, dividend, death claim and surrender checks for balancing against various registers before being mailed.
  • Ensures items are moved thru workflow properly to the next queue after validation and mailing.
  • Responsible for locating new addresses for checks that were mailed and returned.
  • Responsible for overnight requests.
  • Responsible for handling of Wealth Management checks to ensure proper mailing.
  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.

What It Takes to Join Our Team:

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience required. Insurance or related services experience preferred.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Must have analytical and math skills.
  • Must be proficient with use of computer software including Word and Excel; keyboard skills of 40-45 NWPM and develop proficiency in company administrative and workflow systems (Life Comm, NextGen, FAST, AWD).
  • Oral and written communication skills as appropriate to this position.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Reasonably regular and predictable attendance.
  • Progress towards industry education is expected (LOMA 280/281 & LOMA 290/291)
