Data Security Analyst

About the Role

The Data Security Analyst is responsible for providing monitoring and oversight of the security and access control systems protecting valuable information assets and compliance activities. The Data Security Analyst works with other teams to identify and correct security gaps or vulnerabilities in software, systems and solutions to protect Claire's overall security posture.

• Assist with the planning, execution, evidence gathering, and remediation activities of external audits and assessments (i.e., Penetration Testing, Client Security Questionnaires and/or Audits, Financial IT Audit, PCI, etc.).
• Liaising with external partners and internal groups (such as Help Desk, IT Delivery and Human Resources) and with employees directly on information security matters, policies, standards, procedures
• Translate automated security incidents to real-time incidence response activities
• Triage Incident response of cybersecurity events such as malware detection, malicious activities and phishing email
• Provides oversight and security guidance to projects
• Conduct 3rd party vendor assessment
• Respond to security incidents (as required) and assist with the coordination of internal and external auditors as needed.
• Perform in-depth analysis of security issues, vulnerability assessment and remediation recommendations
• Provide guidance on provisioning user accounts on IT systems for authorized users using least privileged and role-based access control
• Manage and mature the Security Exception process.
• Assisting Information Asset Owners and development project teams to define and implement appropriate access rights for user roles;
• Support privacy-related matters and new privacy impact assessments, as needed.
• Able to assess Cloud security posture and requirements

About You

• Experienced in security infrastructure technology and how they interact such as firewalls, WAF, IDP, SIEM, vulnerability scanners
• Experience with risk management frameworks
• Working knowledge and experience with PCI Compliance and the Self-Assessment Questionnaire process
• Working knowledge of Information Security best practices, audit frameworks and possibly privacy laws (e.g., familiarity with ISO 27000 series, SANS, NIST, OWASP Top 10, COBIT, CIS Top 20, PCI, CCPA, etc.)
• General knowledge of infrastructure technology, including networking, servers, and storage
• High standards of personal integrity, professionalism and accountability to assigned projects and timelines
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Detailed and analytical in approach to solving problems
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
