Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired.

  • This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-4 x per year.

The Function & Role

The Data Strategy, Product & Platform (DSP&P) group is seeking a resourceful Program Analyst to support the Portfolio/Product Manager. Key functions in this role include, ensuring successful planning and execution of data initiatives within the CDAO organization, assisting in the management and refinement of both functional and strategic roadmaps, and aiding in the development of related processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Working with leaders across CDAO and its business partners to facilitate consolidated initiative tracking and reporting.
  • Aid in operations compliance support and seek opportunities to identify process improvements to improve operational efficiency for both internal and external initiatives.
  • Identifying process improvements to facilitate successful operational efficiency.
  • Support CDAO portfolio technology solution configuration, administration, and maintenance, as well as preparing vital status updates, and reporting for reviews
  • Assist in facilitation and validation of business requirements for portfolio initiatives. and supporting group initiatives requiring project management involvement.
  • Lead/support the planning and facilitation of business meetings, including agenda and content preparation, consolidation, and distribution to senior leaders.
  • Recording and distributing business meeting minutes, including key decisions, conclusions, and action items.
  • Support and prioritization of operational problems internally or externally, establishing preventative measures, resolving issues, and documenting issue resolution procedures.
  • Identifying process improvements to facilitate successful operational efficiency.
  • Departmental document management through SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Aha.
  • Ensure initiative planning tracks with execution and risks / delays are effectively managed and escalated.
  • Assist the portfolio manager in roadmap planning for DSP&P initiatives and support coordination across Product Management, EDL Platform Planning, and, Business Development. Incorporate key dependencies such as legal / privacy, IT, and CDAO Analytics teams.
  • Assist in delivery of portfolio management KPI metrics and associated reporting.

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years professional experience
  • 2+ years minimum of supporting project / portfolio management (agile environment preferred)
  • Strong project management and communication skills, coupled with a drive for results to successfully organize, track, and manage multiple initiatives across portfolio technology solutions.
  • Collaborative orientation towards work relationships and effectiveness in building trust, respect, and cooperation among teams
  • Experience interfacing cross functionally and directly with customers
  • Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills
  • High level of problem solving and strategic thinking,
  • Eye for business and experience supporting data product and IT based initiatives
  • Ability to work through ambiguity with minimal direction
  • Demonstrated individual judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness
  • Proficiency in software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years in project management in developing B2B data products
  • Background in documenting of business requirements
  • Familiarity with data product management or IT project management, and OpEx projects or Lean Six Sigma experience

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • Master's preferred
