Position Overview

Responsibilities :

  • Support the on-site client with day-to-day market research needs and in the development of data visualization of findings and insight stories for presentations.
  • Make value-added contributions toward the improvement of data visualization methodologies, processes, and analytics.
  • Lead the creation of data extraction processes and reports using Tableau to be utilized as inputs into analytic projects.
  • Work with NPD and Clients internal data housed in a cross-tabular software system.
  • Leverage technology to design, develop and optimize data visualization to inform client business needs.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to understand their needs and build new solutions.
  • Build strong internal relationships at the client to understand nuances of their business to ensure inclusion of all NPD data sets to inform their decisions.
  • Be fully versed in both NPD data sets and client's internal data to be a critical go-to resource for the client and embedded in their everyday support.
Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative field (statistics, mathematics, economics, political science, psychology, etc.), Master's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, custom analytics, or 'Big Data' applications within a market research environment.
  • Deep experience utilizing Tableau.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills with focus on MS Excel and Power Point.
  • Keen eye for detail and thoughtful investigation of data before relying upon it.
  • Strong ability to think through business applications of quantitative work.
  • Creative, curious, inquisitive mindset with a strong, persistent quality orientation.
  • Ability to mine large volumes of data into actionable and accurate information.
  • Effectively communicate ideas and analysis results effectively both verbally and written.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn proprietary software/database applications.
