As a Dataflow Engineer, you will build and maintain the company's Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). You will be responsible for the timely, reliable, resilient, and accurate movement of data among all Veterans United systems that may be locally-written or third party, locally-hosted or cloud-based.

Job duties will vary upon assignment but may include:

  • Develop new integrations and maintain existing integrations.
  • Design, improve, and re-factor core ESB code and resources as needed to meet performance, reliability, and accuracy goals.
  • Partner with Product Owners to refine the business requirements that must be met for building and maintaining the Enterprise Service Bus.
  • Provide technical excellence, support, and quality throughout all stages of projects.
  • Support, develop and maintain technical specification documentation.
  • Develop and maintain unit tests, acceptance tests, functional tests, load/stress tests per requirements.
  • Perform in-depth research to identify sources of issues and errors regarding ESB reliability and performance.
  • Develop, promote, and teach best practices in ESB use to software development teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, excluding licensed activity.

  • Familiarity with JQuery and other JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience with TFS, TFS Release Management, and other version control, continuous integration and delivery tools.
  • Experience with TDD, Unit Testing, and/or writing integration tests.
