Radford University, a public university enrolling nearly 7,800 students, invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the Davis College of Business and Economics. Located along the iconic Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, Radford University boasts a beautiful 211-acre main residential campus along the New River in Radford; as well as vibrant learning environments in downtown Roanoke at the Carilion Community Hospital and the Roanoke Higher Education Center; and the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center located in Abingdon.

The Davis College of Business and Economics provides an active learning environment that develops responsible business professionals who collaborate to compete successfully in the global economy. Accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the college provides students opportunities to interact with entrepreneurs, accountants, investors, managers, and marketing professionals from across the country and the globe. The College is a community of almost 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students who are taught and mentored by 41 faculty and 17 staff. Students can study business and economics across 11 undergraduate majors, 10 undergraduate minors, and an MBA program in the College's four departments.

Reporting directly to the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean will provide direction for the College's growth, foster ongoing development of high-quality academic programs, support strategies to increase student success, and build relationships and collaborative partnerships internally and externally. The Dean will provide leadership and strategic direction for education, research, and outreach to students, faculty, alumni, and external stakeholders. The Dean will develop strategy and contacts to expand the donor pool and develop external fund raising, supervise the recruitment of faculty, and encourage interdisciplinary partnerships with other units across the University. Candidates should have an earned doctoral degree in any related field, from an AASCB accredited program, and at least three years of progressively more responsible experience as an academic administrator in a college of business, at the Chair level or higher.
