Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences

Western Washington University (WWU) invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. The new Dean will lead the University's largest college and will join welcoming colleagues committed to student success and academic excellence, and engaging students whose aspirations and talents enrich the campus community, the region, and the world.

The Dean is the administrative leader of the College, serving to unite faculty and staff in consultative and collaborative work that advances the mission of Western and of the College. Reporting to the Provost/Executive Vice President, the Dean is a member of the Council of Deans. It is important that the next Dean have a leadership style that is inclusive and transparent. The significant work in operating the College is made possible through a genuine commitment to shared governance and respect for the contributions of all.
