What you will be doing:

A highly visible supply chain role in Demand Planning (forecasting and financial targets) requirements process. This is a hands-on position responsible for developing and carrying out Demand Plan and Top Line Financial Plan that will enable Helen of Troy to meet sales and service objectives. Collaboration with other members of the supply chain, sales, marketing, customer support teams, as well as with contacts within vendor partners, is paramount to achieve these sales and service objectives.


  • Develop and generate weekly and monthly statistical forecast reports

  • Continuously improve forecasting techniques, method, and approach

  • Measure and report forecast drivers that impact forecast accuracy

  • Maintain system settings and event causals for optimized batch forecast in planning tool

  • Conduct current and future forecasting analysis, ensuring forecasting processes and methods are followed

  • Collect and analyze all data pertinent to crafting the sales forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, and tier 1 account POS and inventory levels)

  • Establish and apply the best methods (statistical models and software tools) in crafting forecasts and respective inventory targets

  • Make recommended adjustments to forecast based on changes in demand and market trends

  • Work closely with Sales and Operations Leadership to build and implement inventory allocation to achieve/exceed service level targets.

  • Proactively report over/under consumption and large demand shifts to Supply Planning partners to mitigate risk from lost sales or excess inventory


Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Strong analytical abilities

  • Proven understanding of demand planning process within Consumer-Packaged Goods Industry

  • Knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools (Demantra Demand Management a plus), forecasting processes in sales, marketing operations, finance, manufacturing, and supply chain

  • Experience working with Walmart preferred

  • Effective communication and team building skills

  • Strong focus on ensuring accuracy, detail orientated

  • General understanding of DRP/MRP functionality

  • Knowledge of key inventory performance metrics, turns, margin contributions, etc.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally

  • Collaborative skills in resolving long and short positions in inventory

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree: BA preferred in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years related experience

  • Experience using statistical software packages

  • Background in forecasting, and planning

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
