What We Are Looking For

The Demand Planner Sr is responsible for estimating product demands by utilizing analytical, marketing, and sales data along with analysis of industry trends and demand patterns. They will support company management with risk assessment and partner with stakeholders to mitigate the risk. This role will also implement solutions that can improve demand forecasts.

What You Will Do
  • Develop demand forecast for multiple horizons
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data and adjust accordingly
  • Collect data from internal and external sources on factors known to affect demand
  • Analyze sales, stock, and other data statistics
  • Model data to forecast future demand
  • Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation (demand segmentation) for multiple time horizons
  • Maintain demand planning software
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile variances and refine forecast outcomes (gather market intelligence)
  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Finance to ensure that accurate information is being used for demand forecasts
  • Obtain information on occurrences that could impact demand like promotions and production delays
  • Gather updates on vendors, distributors, sales, and other stakeholders that can affect demand
  • Refine systems and methods to improve forecasts to better anticipate customer needs
  • Partner with Supply Planning/Business Unit Partners team to validate forecast impact to the plan (capacity analysis), new product introductions, and product end life cycle
  • Provide input to the supply planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
  • Operate in a senior role for the demand planning team; facilitate cross training, mentor others, and help with team integration
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field
  • Certificate(s): APICS CSCP certification, or completed certification within 18 months of accepting position
  • 3-6 years' experience supply chain function
  • Basic Oracle knowledge is a plus
  • MS Office Proficiency and Intermediate level in Excel (Formulas, Pivot Charts, Access Database Management, etc.)
  • Oracle Demantra knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to analyze and summarize data into actionable summary reports
  • Understanding of statistical modeling
