Background Information:

Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking a Desktop Administrator to be based in our Arlington, VA office.

Overview:

We're looking for an IT desktop champion to provide internal support for employees and contractors. This position requires a mix of technical and high-level customer service skills. Passionate about technology and helping people. We support Servers, PCs, BYOD, printer, faxes, copiers, etc.

All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide Tier-1 IT help desk support for in-office and remote IDT employees
  • Work close with IT team on the development and execution of an infrastructure technical strategy that helps lead the way for IDT business and technology products
  • Work with vendor technical support as needed
  • Install and Maintain Windows Desktop Environments
  • Maintain the corporate golden desktop images
  • Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution
  • Create accounts and configure hardware as part of new employee on-boarding process
  • Support audio and video equipment in conference rooms
  • Manage and monitor internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records
  • Install and Update desktop applications
  • Troubleshoot and Repair end user desktop issues and escalate as needed
  • Assist users and guest with connecting to Wireless Networks
  • Other duties may be added and/or assigned as needed
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • 2 years+ experience working in a Windows environment
  • Associates Degree in Information Technology or related field; Bachelors Degree preferred
Required Skills:
  • Windows Desktop
  • Experience with VOIP
  • Conference Room Audio Visual Equipment (Polycom, Solstice)
  • Understanding of cyber security
  • Microsoft 365 applications, including MS Teams
  • Strong sense of ownership and urgency
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
Preferred Skills:
  • Windows 10, Server 2016, and Microsoft 365
  • Active Directory maintenance and Exchange 2016
  • Mobile Device management in a BYOD environment.
  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • Experience with DUO Multi Factor Authentication
