Business Planning Leader (BPL) - Integral member of the Hematology Franchise leadership team, responsible for maximizing operational effectiveness and integrating field and marketing efforts across the franchise.

The US oncology commercial organization is a fast-growing division of AstraZeneca with five franchise areas: Hematology, IO, Lung, DDR and ADC

Location:
Gaithersburg is our US headquarters for oncology. It is campus crafted for collaborative working, including Gym access After-work events, Lunch & Learns, Bright and spacious environment, Sustainable office working environment, Onsite Childcare and Networking events.

What you'll do

  • Develop and coordinate all commercial franchise communications and engagement plans (e.g., monthly calls with group of PSSs, team building events) as well as financial tracking and budgeting
  • Lead key leadership touch points and the National Sales Meeting and all key sales meetings, coordinate congress attendance across the franchise
  • Key leader, serving as "Chief of Staff" in the Hematology Franchise, ensuring goals and objectives are supervised and met
  • Participate as a member of the Hematology Leadership Team, with accountability for identifying team priorities across the franchise and within the marketing and sales leadership teams
  • Serve on Oncology Sales Leadership Team with CBDs across oncology, and play key role in coordinating touch points with CBD team

Essentials for the role
Bachelor's degree in scientific field
  • 3-5 years pharmaceutical experience
  • Proven ability to work across functions and lead without formal authority
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (written and oral), organizational, relationship building, and consulting skills
  • Strong project and process management skills
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical business (including development and operations)
