What we need:

Mohawk is looking for a Director, Cybersecurity who can do more for all Mohawk North America brands across residential, distributor and builder multifamily divisions.

Under general supervision, but following established policies and procedures, the Cybersecurity Director performs two core functions for the enterprise. The first is overseeing the operations of the enterprise's security solutions through management of the organization's security analysts and engineers.The second is establishing an enterprise security stance through policy, architecture and training processes.

The Cybersecurity Director is expected to interface with peers from areas such as Networks, Core Operations, Programming, and Facilities as well as with the leaders of business units to both share the corporate security vision with those individuals and to solicit their involvement in achieving higher levels of enterprise security through information sharing and cooperation.

What you'll do:

  • Create and maintain the enterprise's security architecture design.
  • Create, and maintain the enterprise's security awareness training program.
  • Create and maintain the enterprise's security documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures).
  • Champion innovation in cybersecurity strategy, capabilities, and execution and related risk management activities with stakeholder community (e.g., microservices/micro-segmentation/Zero Trust, Ongoing Authorization, Cloud security, data analytics);
  • Facilitate transformation of cybersecurity program from federated model to an enterprise model and transform federated contracts, processes, and approaches to support the enterprise;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the IT security industry including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes and the development of new attacks and threat vectors.
  • Select and acquire additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall enterprise security as per the enterprise's existing procurement processes.
  • Oversee the deployment, integration, and initial configuration of all new security solutions and of any enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with standard best operating procedures generically and the enterprise's security documents specifically.
  • Lead & Manage audits of the information technology & cybersecurity control design and effectiveness in accordance with information technology & security, authoritative sources including the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX); Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT); National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST); and/or International Organization of Standards (ISO).
  • Operational Management:
    • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data residing on or transmitted to/from/through enterprise workstations, servers, and other systems and in databases and other data repositories (core processor).
    • Ensure the enforcement of enterprise security documents.
    • Supervise all investigations into problematic activity and provide on-going communication with senior management.
    • Supervise the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits.
    • Perform regular security awareness training for all employees to ensure consistently high levels of compliance with enterprise security documents.
    • Engage in ongoing communications with peers in the Systems, Core Operations, Programming, and Networking groups as well as the various business groups to ensure enterprise wide understanding of security goals, to solicit feedback and to foster co-operation.
  • Management / Supervision:
    • Manages IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
    • In conjunction with the Infrastructure leader, recommends purchases/upgrades of security systems and vendor solutions.
    • Works with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations while keeping current with the latest security threats.
    • Develops, tests, and maintains security for disaster recovery systems.
Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with principles, of Team Up, Inspire Promoters, Challenge Yourself and Own It.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of computer security, information technology, computer science and/or 7 years equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years progressive information security experience with minimum of 5 years managing teams or staff. Manufacturing/Textile industry preferred.
  • SCCP / CISSP / ISSAP

What you're good at:

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of BI applications, system development life cycle, dynamics of applications development projects, Information Technology practices and methods.
  • Knowledge of the principles, techniques and methodology of project management, quality management, and change management
  • Proficient using PC, Internet and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong team management skills, leading and motivating a team that is geographically dispersed and includes contractors and off-shore resources
  • Ability to quickly identify and analyze risks & impacts and define alternatives & prioritizations to remove roadblocks. Ability to manage multiple deliverables independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively exercise tact, discretion, judgment and diplomacy when interacting and/or negotiating with internal and external customers and senior management.
  • Highly motivated self-starter. Ability to act as an advisor on professional and technical issues with a view towards reaching decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and global work group and to achieve results through global team efforts. Ability to perform in a high pressure environment and/or crisis situation and render good decisions to resolve the problems, maintain safety and ensure adherence to Corporate Code of Conduct.
  • Consistently proven ability to implement projects and contribute to concept development
