ABOUT THE JOB:
The Director, Digital Applications will work with the Willscot Mobile Mini (WSMM) IT and functional leadership teams to develop and implement a strategic roadmap for the WSMM customer portals, web site and E-commerce applications. He/She will be responsible for planning and executing the overall digital experience for B2B customers, driving increased satisfaction using secure portals and digital sites to help customers manage their orders, service, invoicing, and payments, in addition to ordering additional products and services through an easy-to-use platform.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
The Director, Digital Applications manages Customer Portals, eCommerce, web application development frameworks and integration solutions. This role works with various cross-functional business owners and leadership to provide solutions to meet customer's needs, managing the digital development activities to ensure customers are offered timely and high-quality dashboards, portals, and other applications to drive customer engagement and satisfaction.
The Director, Digital Applications provides process and technology strategic thought leadership and delivery for all technologies related to Web and Digital application development. This includes advising IT and business leaders in the following areas:

  • Web and Digital application strategic roadmap, program development and delivery
  • Web and Digital implementation, technology evaluation and solution recommendations
  • Ensuring web and digital apps meet all local/state/province/country and federal laws and industry standards
  • Working with the commercial, data analytics and marketing teams to align on strategy and outcomes
The Director, Digital Applications will operate as the digital product architect, exploring, evaluating, and implementing strategic, innovative, cost-optimized technology solutions that improve functionality for the customer base and organization. She/He should have proven experience leading an eCommerce/Digital organization, with demonstrated success managing initiatives from conception through delivery with quantifiable results.
  • Work cross-functionally with product development, digital marketing, and IT in a matrix team environment to develop a strategic plan to broaden existing customer base, provide relevant products and solutions and deliver results.
  • Lead customer experience workshops designed to understand key business behaviors that drive customer acquisition, retention, and engagement, leading to the design and implementation of a customer experience that is highly appealing to customers and powered by latest web technology enablers, customer portals and eCommerce applications
The Director, Digital Applications will be responsible for hiring and managing a dedicated team of web development professionals, training staff, conducting performance reviews, and providing leadership and coaching, including technical and personal development programs for team members. This role ensures technical debt is closely managed, enables increased ease and automation of customer roll out and adoption of common Dashboards and Portal solutions across all customers and requires close coordination and influence with affiliated companies, partners, and vendors.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
  • Advanced degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years of increasing leadership accountability in strategy, process improvement, and innovation
  • Advanced experience in Ecommerce, Web Design, Mobile App Design, SEO, Digital Marketing & Marketing Technology
  • Preferred experience with Digital Transformations, Cloud Technology, Edge Computing, Machine Learning and AI
  • Must have experience with Agile, ITIL, COBIT, Waterfall methodologies
  • Compelling interpersonal, presentation, and peer influence skills
  • Must have a successful track record of leadership and the ability to attract, develop and retain world class talent
