Overview

This position is accountable for providing strategic direction to the American Casualwear Supply Chain organization to ensure our customer goals are met as well as our Corporate objectives.

The position has leadership responsibilities to ensure Planning and timely delivery in the required sequence that results in customer satisfaction at the desired levels for Seasonal Activewear, Branded Printwear & Alternative Printwear.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leadership and management direction for distribution production & demand planning, customer operations, timeline management and customer service for American Casualwear business.
  • Develops and demonstrates product knowledge and strong business acumen that established self as a collaborative and strategic business partner with internal team members - including marking, merchandising, sales, etc.

  • Assess business needs through S&OP process and develop strategic capacity solutions to ensure a high level of customer service. Assess and mange production units to align with sales units and dollars. Thus, ensuring a high level of customer service while optimizing inventory turns.
  • Improve the overall profitability of the America Casualwear business through focused initiatives to improve efficiencies and reduce cost. Requires a strong focus on supply chain execution to ensure a high level of service for our customers, that can, and should, lead to increased sales.
  • Leverage our Global Supply chain's scale, fabric synergies, replenishment capabilities and sustainability initiatives to create a competitive advantage.
  • Ongoing assessment of the production flows with a focus on speed as well as cost. Continue to generate strategies to further improve speed to market.
  • Optimize DC inventory and shelf stock in an effort to improve efficiencies, turns and optimization and consolidation of DC space.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in marketing, business administration or related discipline or equivalent work experience. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years' experience with minimum of 5 years in managerial/decision making capacity.
  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to think strategically while managing day to day challenges/issues.
  • Strong quantitative skills, with strong computer skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Skills in strategy and business development, strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and project management skills
  • Possess a keen understanding of the needs of the overall business and the particular product group for which they are responsible.
  • The incumbent rarely operates in a position that is highly routine or functional Therefore the incumbent constantly draws on creative problem solving skills, recommending solutions for action and organizing such actions.
  • Refined oral and written communication skills are a necessity, due to daily contact with all levels of HBI. The ability to work effectively to drive results with all functional areas and at all levels is a critical part of the position.
  • Incumbent must be a team player and have the ability to positively influence constituents. Must exhibit the appropriate sense of urgency at all times and be able to work well under tight deadlines. Must be able to take ownership of stated roles and achieve results. Incumbent must be committed to the highest business and ethical standards as outlined by HBI's global operating standards and must exhibit this commitment at all times.
