Job Description

Title: Director of Market Research - Immunology

Location: Boston, MA (hybrid)

The Director of Market Research is a key member of the US Rx BU, reporting to the Head of US Rx Business Insights and Analytics. This position, based in Boston, MA, is responsible and accountable for the generation of strategic insights for launch preparation of Galderma's first biologic treatment for atopic dermatitis and prurigo nodularis. This role will also serve to establish market research and competitive intelligence capabilities as areas of strength in the US Rx BU.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute an insights generation plan that both addresses and anticipates key business questions and delivers critical customer insights that inform strategic and tactical business initiatives
  • Review, select and manage appropriate primary and secondary market research agencies consistent with procurement policies for executing research projects
  • Synthesize data from multiple sources to convey a cohesive, data-driven story and contribute to realistic, actionable and measurable recommendations
  • Develop competitive intelligence plan to gather and analyze information about the industry, business environment, competitors and products to influence future strategy
  • Work directly with cross-functional launch team to support launch readiness and to drive successful launch execution
  • Understand the legal and compliance environment and drive collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Be recognized as internal subject matter expert on competitor data, commercial efforts, activities and trends by providing timely insights

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, MD, PhD) preferred
  • 7+ years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience, including 5 years of primary market research experience
  • Results-oriented creative thinker who is viewed as a collaborative strategic business partner with an ability to influence without authority
  • Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively manage multiple demands from multiple stakeholders with a sense of urgency
  • Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in a broad range of primary marketing research methodologies including qualitative and quantitative design, data analysis and statistics
  • Knowledge and experience with pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., prescription and sales data, patient claims data, promotional audits)
