Director of Nursing Services, Inpatient Medical Oncology

Assumes operational and functional responsibility for a group of patient care areas and/or special projects or initiatives; provides administrative and strategic leadership for performance management; assists the Senior Vice President and Chief Clinical Operations Officer and/or the Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer in executive-level management of resources and strategic planning to ensure operations are consistent with the mission and philosophy of the organization; identifies, advocates for, and builds capacity to utilize tools and methodologies required for quality improvement in a clinical setting; leads and executes process improvement initiatives to achieve operational efficiencies using Lean Six Sigma methodologies; works collaboratively with Roswell's executive leaders to integrate quality assurance and risk management activities throughout the organization.
Required Education and Experience
1. Master's degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in a comprehensive cancer center or complex academic/research medical center including one (1) year experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; or
2. Bachelor's degree and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time experience in a comprehensive cancer center or complex academic/research medical center including one (1) year experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity.
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
The preferred candidate will have a minimum of five years of nursing experience as well as two years of experience in nursing as a supervisor or leader.
