Job Description

Lead the strategic vision and execution for the Procurement organization, focusing on deploying effective strategies, key process indicators, and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with business leaders to ensure the organization surpasses expectations, positioning it for sustainable success. Drive the procurement of capital equipment, materials, fabrication, services, logistics, and SG&A, while managing and developing a high-performing team. Assume a pivotal role in corporate-level leadership, fostering collaboration with worldwide VWTS & VWT Procurement purchasing teams. Simultaneously oversee global synergies, spearhead the development of supplier frameworks, and establish Loyalty agreements with strategic purchasing departments at VWT and VWTS. Your expertise will play a crucial role in optimizing processes and elevating the overall performance of the organization. Additionally, you will support the development and deployment of our global strategies, playing a key role in supporting the long-term growth and value creation journey of the company. Initiate market studies and proactively explore new market opportunities for HPD Evaporation and Crystallization Technology. This includes competitive analysis, GAP studies, and development plans, involving client outreach, industry group identification, and strategic tradeshow participation to enhance brand awareness and value in new markets.

Qualifications

  • Spearhead and lead procurement, logistics, and expediting teams, implementing cutting-edge practices, ensuring unparalleled quality, on-time delivery, and skillful negotiation of competitive prices.
  • Drive and orchestrate the seamless delivery of projects within stringent timelines, navigating budget constraints with finesse and upholding unwavering adherence to ISO 9001 standards and internal protocols.
  • Strategically manage and decisively resolve supplier performance challenges, meticulously aligning with purchase order terms and trade contract agreements.
  • Mentor, coach, and inspire a cadre of high-caliber procurement professionals, shaping them into industry leaders and driving their development towards realizing their full potential.
  • Diligently evaluate and optimize supplier performance to ensure rigorous adherence to contractual obligations, conducting meticulous analyses of intricate supply risk factors.
  • Navigate and resolve complex issues through sophisticated negotiation tactics, instilling unwavering motivation within the team by fostering a culture of collaboration and laser-focused attention on cost and schedule.
  • Methodically review, refine, and authorize intricate Request for Quotation (RFQ) documents, demonstrating a discerning eye for detail and precision.
  • Forge robust relationships with senior members of the Veolia procurement community globally, cultivating and sustaining connections with key suppliers and Veolia's Business Units (BU's) on an international scale.
  • Efficiently coordinate and preside over monthly departmental meetings, delivering comprehensive reports of purchasing activities and commitments to HPD Sr. Management.
  • Champion an unwavering commitment to professional and ethical work standards within the purchasing function, tactfully allocating work assignments in strict accordance with established policies.
  • Uphold and champion safety policies and standards, fostering transparent and effective communication with suppliers to ensure an environment of trust and compliance.
  • Develop and institute meticulous policies and procedures, ensuring the unwavering compliance of the purchasing function with Veolia's purchasing charter and corporate directives.
  • Undertake proactive research and engagement with new customers, strategically determining market needs, assessing the applicability of HPD technology, and discerning nuanced development requirements.
  • Acquire and leverage competitor intelligence, expertly anticipating emerging opportunities, and strategically timing future promotional material.
  • Identify and strategically participate in trade shows to fortify the company's position in new markets, collaborating seamlessly with the HPD team to craft and disseminate technical articles for publication and industry events.
  • Align marketing needs with the company's strategic growth objectives, offering pivotal support to the Corporate Marketing team in promoting the company's unparalleled experience and capabilities.
  • Innovate and create compelling content for promotional activities, including impactful press releases, sophisticated brochures, dynamic presentations, captivating videos, and other media.
  • Bachelor's degree required in either marketing or sciences.
  • Minimum 10 years of previous experience preferred.
  • Technical or sales background a plus.
