Mount Aloysius College, recognized by ModernThink as a "2022 Great College to Work For," is seeking a highly motivated leader to serve as our Director of Student Activities & Orientation. The Director of Student Activities & Orientation provides educational, social, and leadership development programs and activities to enhance student learning and campus engagement. They are responsible for the management, coordination, and delivery of the new student transition to college, cultural, social and educational programs, and events and activities designed to engage and entertain residential and commuter students of both traditional and non-traditional age. This position oversees all student clubs and organizations on campus to ensure compliance with College policies. This position is responsible for all Orientation and welcome events including the integration of our international student programming and onboarding. This position will have an instrumental role in the collaborative development and implementation of justice, equity, diversity and inclusion education, awareness, and programming for students and the campus community. The Director is specifically responsible to advise Student Government (SGA), the Campus Activity Board (CAB), and the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS). The Director supervises the management of the Cosgrave Student Center and the Bertschi Center & Technology Commons, including student staffing and recreational equipment. This position works closely with Residence Life for Intramurals.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Student Affairs Administration, Higher Education or related field preferred, BA/BS required. Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Student Affairs. Experience in extracurricular and leadership activities at undergraduate level. Able to flex schedule; evening and weekend attendance is important in this role.

Passionate about student engagement and leadership. Creative and energetic. Ability to relate to and work well with students, staff, faculty, and external community. Ability to train and assist students in their development. Ability to manage and lead groups. Customer service and organizational skills. General knowledge of College rules, procedures, and protocol.
