The Role

Responsible for planning and executing marketing campaigns to generate new prospects and improve client retention.  This function supports the organization’s business goals and objectives, supporting ongoing companywide initiatives to drive revenue growth specific to federal.  A key advocate throughout the organization for programs that enhance the sales capability within this customer segment.  Important member of the Marketing management team, ensuring alignment, cross-channel coordination and exercising financial control. Work closely with executive stakeholders to understand the business objectives and create marketing programs to enable increased revenue aligned with business strategy.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver value proposition and marketing programs for Federal.
  • Direct and own marketing programs and initiatives and associated budgets for Federal. Responsible for programs that leverage similarities across all channels for optimal branding and positioning.
  • Work closely with the Offer Management and Product Management teams to understand product specifications and potential opportunities; translating specifications into compelling messages, value propositions and marketing plans.
  • Drive thought leadership around marketing as a whole, understand broader communication trends and competitor dynamics.
  • Maintain a focus on cost containment and efficiency through the effective use of internal and external resources.
  • Lead, motivate and develop a high performance team of employee-owner marketing professionals.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • Strong marketing leader and manager who has demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a Marketing organization.
  • 10-15 years Business-to-Business marketing experience within the telecom industry is preferred, specifically in the area Federal.
  • 12 + years of relevant experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Client-centric, business partner approach to the management of marketing with expertise leveraging the function in a large organization for competitive advantage.
  • Results-Oriented leader with prior successful experience in a dynamic, highly matrixed corporate environment, who is detail-oriented and has a strong focus on delivery milestones.
  • Responsive and client sensitive professional who has experience in a services business.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen effectively and communicate in a proactive fashion.
  • Proven ability to manage via influence and drive operational excellence.
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Comfortable interacting, influencing, and lobbying at the VP-Level.
  • Ability to adapt to continually changing priorities and aggressive project timeframes.
  • Advanced Degree preferred.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
