Rider University invites applications for a Director of the Student Navigation Office. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs, this individual will be responsible for developing and promoting a supportive and educational environment that is conducive to the academic success and personal development of all students, through academic navigation, training, coaching, campus collaboration, and intensive, proactive outreach. The Director will establish and maintain collaborative relationships with a variety of constituencies integral to student success, ranging from families, to faculty advisors, to on campus services and personnel outside of Academic Affairs.

Position Requirements:

Qualified candidates must possess a Master's degree in higher education, counseling, student service, or related field along with a minimum of 10 years of higher education experience including academic advising. Individual must also possess: demonstrated experience in supervision and project management of students, staff and/or teams in a university environment; superior organizational skills; outstanding verbal and written communication skills; the ability to work effectively with internal and external university stakeholders and to build partnerships; and demonstrated knowledge of university systems and structures.

Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

Significant experience with the use of technology, including student tracking systems and knowledge of research based best practices for student success is preferred.
