Location: Holy Cross Health has two hospitals and four healthcare centers all a short driving distance from Washington DC and Baltimore, MD
General Summary:

The Emergency Department (ED) Technician assists medical and nursing staff in providing technical support for patient care. The ED Technician responsibilities include collecting, communicating and documenting data and information; performing diagnostic testing, surveillance and monitoring; assisting with and performing treatments and procedures; maintaining medical equipment and supplies; assisting with transportation of patients, supplies, specimens and medications; responding to emergencies including initiation of emergency measures; and performing associated and delegated duties in support of departmental and hospital operations. The ED Technician works under the direction of a registered nurse or provider to perform tasks for which the ED Technician has been trained and competency validated.

The employee supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.

Minimum licensure/certification required (if applicable):

Certification as a nursing assistant by the Maryland Board of Nursing OR

Licensed National Registry preferred

High school diploma required

BLS certification required

ACLS certification preferred

PALS certification preferred

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

Ability to work well and effectively communicate with individuals and teams
