Position Summary
Candidate would be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting the electronic batch record (EBR) system for the Lincoln Zoetis site and implementing EBRs in the monoclonal antibody manufacturing areas. This role's key responsibility will be to translate paper batch records to electronic batch records following GMP requirements and manufacturing needs. Emphasis will be placed on communication with Quality, IT, automation, and manufacturing organizations. Candidate may be required to support the manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, a critical thinker, and capable of working independently or with a team.
Hours: 1st shift, 40 hr./wk. Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Position Responsibilities
- Understand, follow, and complete process documentation in support of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Understand and follow safety policies as it relates to biological and chemical components and equipment to protect personnel and maintain product quality.
- Accurately document production activities on paper and in computer-based systems.
- Update and revise SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), BOMs (Bill of Materials) and BRs (Batch Records).
- Develop, implement, and support electronic batch record (EBR) system for the Lincoln Zoetis site.
- Manage the timeline of implementation under team lead direction.
- Lead, mentor, and train colleagues as needed.
- Provide department oversight as requested.
- Candidate may be required to support the manufacturing team.
Level of the job will be determined by the successful candidate.
Education and ExperienceCandidate with BS in Biological Sciences or Computer Sciences preferred.
High school degree or equivalent with several year of experiment in comparable industry and interest in EBR will be considered.
Preference given to applicants with relevant experience in biological production and/or aseptic manufacturing with 3-5 years previous experience in EBR programming.
Technical Skills and Competencies Required
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills required.
- Understanding in GMP regulations is required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, computer skills, automation, and working knowledge of metric system are required.
- Understanding of media preparation, mammalian cell culture, chromatography purification and filtration techniques is desirable.
- Fundamental understanding of EBR systems is desirable.
- Previous experience with PAS-X, SAP, Delta V, and Unicorn is a plus
Physical Position RequirementExposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, noise, live steam, temperature fluctuations, biohazards, continuous standing and lifting to a maximum of 50 lbs.
