Description:
St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking an RN to join our team in the Emergency Department!
Schedule: 36 hours weekly, 12 hour night shifts - weekend and holiday commitment included
- Assesses learning needs, readiness to learn and actual or potential barriers to learning.
- Incorporates education into daily patient activity (i.e. medication, equipment, food-drug interactions)
- Follows clinical policies, i.e. weighing of patients, medication administration, etc.
- Provides wound care and maintains drainage tubes
- Initiates and maintains venous access
- Demonstrates ability to perform 12 Lead EKG's
- Properly administers Organ Donation Policies
- Maintains and provides continuous renal replacement therapy
- Interprets dysrhythmias
- Performs Thrombolytic Therapy
- Performs ABG's, hemodynamic monitoring, and cardiac pacing
- Provides ventilator management and weaning
- Performs conscious sedation
- Knowledgeable in abuse recognition and referral
- Assesses and documents patients rehab needs and functional skills upon admission
- Collaborates with rehab team to reinforce interdisciplinary functional skills teaching
- Completes "Functional Independence Measure" forms on admission and discharge.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- BSN
- PA Professional Nursing License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS - issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS - issued by the American Heart Association
- Bonus available for RN's with 3 years of ED RN experience!
