Description:

St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking an RN to join our team in the Emergency Department!

Schedule: 36 hours weekly, 12 hour night shifts - weekend and holiday commitment included

  • Assesses learning needs, readiness to learn and actual or potential barriers to learning.
  • Incorporates education into daily patient activity (i.e. medication, equipment, food-drug interactions)
  • Follows clinical policies, i.e. weighing of patients, medication administration, etc.
  • Provides wound care and maintains drainage tubes
  • Initiates and maintains venous access
  • Demonstrates ability to perform 12 Lead EKG's
  • Properly administers Organ Donation Policies
  • Maintains and provides continuous renal replacement therapy
  • Interprets dysrhythmias
  • Performs Thrombolytic Therapy
  • Performs ABG's, hemodynamic monitoring, and cardiac pacing
  • Provides ventilator management and weaning
  • Performs conscious sedation
  • Knowledgeable in abuse recognition and referral
  • Assesses and documents patients rehab needs and functional skills upon admission
  • Collaborates with rehab team to reinforce interdisciplinary functional skills teaching
  • Completes "Functional Independence Measure" forms on admission and discharge.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • BSN
  • PA Professional Nursing License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS - issued by the American Heart Association
  • PALS - issued by the American Heart Association
  • Bonus available for RN's with 3 years of ED RN experience!
