HYG is looking for an energetic individual who will have a positive influence on the organization and the powertrain development team. This position plays an important role in creating, modifying, and implementing designs to address customer needs. This individual interacts with all aspects of the organization, including marketing, manufacturing, procurement, and design, to ensure that we deliver quality forklift trucks that meet customer requirements and acceptance. Responsibilities:

  • Develop forklift drivetrains (transmissions, drive axles, brake systems).
  • Coordinate the engineering concept, design, release, and verification activities from concept through final production.
  • Assist in establishing component and system level requirements to meet customer expectations.
  • Provide input to test plans to ensure our products meet design targets.
  • Ensure the engineering outputs meet project requirements.
  • Interface with component suppliers and internal customers (Platform, Manufacturing, Marketing, Service, etc.) to understand detailed product requirements.
  • Provide input to and support managing the engineering plans and resources.
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing, Sourcing, Marketing and Aftermarket groups to support engineering activities.
Qualifications:

  • Formal education with a minimum BS in Engineering. Advanced Engineering degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years (Engineer II) or five years (Engineer IV) of industry experience (materials handling, automotive, agricultural or similar).
  • Experience with project management coordinating development, release, and implementation activities including scheduling, supervision, and tracking.
  • Knowledge/skill in vehicle/automotive technology.
