The Role

This Network Implementation Program Manager position is a combo position of both Engineering and Construction Project Administrator. Candidate should be able to run a job A to Z from pre-survey, design, build and billing. This is for but not limited to construction of ISP (as it related to outside of Central office) and OSP facilities, buildings, road moves, etc. including the oversight of contractors. Candidate will need to effectively monitor all aspects of the job and be accountable for readouts and reporting. Database updating, as applicable (i.e.- FTTx, CDFS, AFOR, GPON, SITE TRACKER, WFMT). This position must ensure projects are also on budget and provide details as additional funding that may be required.

The Main Responsibilities

• Manage project, administer implementation, and provide field perspective of necessary work functions/approve contractor invoices
• Assists other Internal Partners by interfacing between Internal and external contractors in preparation of projects, assisting and resolving issues, reviewing engineering work prints and handbooks; and vendor installation processes in accordance with Lumen standards (MOPs, 515s, etc.)
• Provides feedback to internal and external construction personnel by communicating feedback regularly; reporting housekeeping issues, and maintaining knowledge of engineering standards, practices and procedures.
• Proven experience reading blueprints and schematics.
• Proven experience and knowledge of building codes and relevant laws to ensure the project is in compliance with building standards and regulations.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Required:

• Baccalaureate degree and or 2+ years or more of experience in telecommunications industry demonstrating experience and knowledge in the aspects of Engineering, ISP & OSP Construction, and contract policies and procedures or equivalent work experience or equivalent experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction practices and procedures, including underground, buried and aerial construction of copper and fiber facilities.
• Knowledgeable and able to work in appropriate systems and Microsoft Office.
• Fluent on current approved products and technology.
• A valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, preferred.
