Job Description:
Location: Construction and Facilities Management Office, Camp Ashland, 220 County Road, Ashland NE

Job Duties:

*Plans and conducts environmental health investigations and inspections of private and public water supplies.
*Collects samples at appropriate sites to provide material for testing and analysis.
*Prepares written and oral reports.
*Develops and monitors corrective actions and compliance schedules.
*Operates and maintains specialized equipment.
*Consults with and educates public, health agency staff, etc.
*Analyzes and evaluates environmental materials and data to determine the existence and causes of violations of environmental health laws and standards.
*Other duties as assigned.

Starting hourly pay rate is $21.206.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Registration as a registered sanitarian in the State of Nebraska.

Special: Overnight and/or regular day travel outside the city residence may be required. Ability to work in inclement weather and environments exposed to physical hazards, infectious diseases and toxic/hazardous substances.

Background check will be required. Must have a valid driver's license.

Knowledge of the principles of physical and biological sciences applicable to environmental health.

Ability to interact with the public and agency staff and maintain work and public relations.
