Braun Intertec, is seeking an Environmental Intern to join our Environmental Consulting group in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in Phase I/II site investigations as well as water quality, soil and groundwater sampling.
• Assist with monitoring well/soil boring installation.
• Assist with data interpretation and remediation report writing for contaminated sites.
• Assist with environmental compliance projects including SWP3/SPCC development and implementation, stormwater permitting, wastewater permitting and compliance, air permitting, Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) reporting, and waste compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers, co-workers, and clients to meet project needs and expectations.

Required Skills:

• A valid driver's license and a good driving history required.
• Driven, analytical thinker, enjoys writing, and is detail oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Enjoys technical work and conducting field work.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Excel and Word).

Required Experience:

• Significant progress toward a B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge and understanding of federal and Texas regulatory programs preferred.
• Some prior experience working with the above responsibilities preferred.
• Candidates must be able to work 40 hours per week.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate is a plus.
