Your new company
Our clients are some of Houston's leading Civil Contractors who operates in both public and private sectors. The companies operate in commercial, industrial, residential and DOT within the civil construction market including underground utilities, site preparation, mass excavation, and earthworks. They work on a variety of different projects ranging from $5Mill - $50Mill . They self-perform all site work and take projects from bidding stage right through to completion. They specialize in all aspects of site preparation including site clearing, excavating, grading, soil stabilization and demolition in civil, residential, industrial, and commercial projects. Due to continual growth and a solid pipeline of projects in the Houston region they are looking for an experienced estimators to join the team.

Your new role
You will be responsible for preparing comprehensive bids for underground utilities and site work construction projects. You will be solely responsible for preparing estimates and bids for utilities/earthwork/concrete construction projects Your day-to-day duties will include quantity take offs, work scope assessment, cost estimates and completing the final bid preparation. You will be a key member in the estimating team and will be involved in the pre-construction process right through to final bid stage. You will be a key member in this growing Estimating department and have the ability to grow up within the company.

What you'll need to succeed
You will come from a background in Civil construction ideally with experience worked in civil background with knowledge of civil, commercial, and industrial . As, well, we have positions that need an extensive background in Civil construction ideally with experience in earthworks, utilities, and site preparation. Ideally you will have started your career in the field and have some onsite or hybrid experience. You will have strong communication skills and be proficient in all Microsoft office programs. You will ideally have experience using HCSS bid or AGTEK assembly as well as strong MS Excel knowledge.
