JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is currently recruiting for an Estimator with experience in the chemical manufacturing industry. The Estimator will be responsible for supporting the Capital Projects Group at an active chemical manufacturing facility.

Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying project scope, preliminary designs, specifications, and related documents.
• Compute costs by analyzing labor, materials, cost of contracts, etc.
• Use cost other project data to develop initial and funding estimates for projects as part of the project team.
• Prepare additional estimates at various stages of projects to support the project through its lifecycle.
• Monitor forecast and actual project spending as a means of improving the estimating process.
• Responsible for preparing formal estimate documents.
• Take reasonable care of your own health & safety and of others who may be affected by you.
• Co-operate with Wood's and client's HSSE requirements by following all relevant health and safety policies and practice safe work habits.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of practical applied experience in estimating all disciplines for capital projects.
• Solid knowledge and experience in the use of spreadsheets and other estimating tools.
• Experience with Aspen's Capital Cost or In-Plant Cost Estimator software (Icarus™).
• Good experience and skill set in the use of Microsoft's suite of office products.
