Life at Amplify

As a growing, tech-focused credit union, Amplify Credit Union delivers value to our members through our products and impact to our community through our profits. That unique intersection is one reason we've been named a Top Workplace by the Austin American-Statesman four years in a row. We're also proud to say that we're the only full-service financial institution that doesn't have deposit fees of any kind. We're looking for teammates who are inspired by our mission and ready to grow their careers. As they do, our employees can expect Amplify to uphold our commitments to culture, community, inclusion, and more.

Position Summary

Amplify Credit Union's executives are innovators in financial services, leaders in the community, and dedicated to creating an exceptional work environment for their teams. That makes the role of the Executive Assistant crucial because this person supports the leaders who support our credit union in a myriad of ways. That includes serving as the liaison for the CEO with the Board of Directors; managing the busy calendars and task lists of several executive team members; partnering with the Talent Team for employee engagement & community involvement; and more. The "other duties as assigned" portion of this teammate's role is ever-evolving. The ideal candidate embraces that, relying on strong organizational skills to maximize the value of executives' time and a positive attitude to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

  • Serves as liaison for the CEO with Board Members, Nominating Committee Members, and other credit union volunteers to ensure governance responsibilities are fulfilled and properly documented.
  • Prepares agendas and documentation in Board Effect for multiple monthly meetings, including for the Board of Directors, Executive Review Committee, and Audit Committee, among others.
  • Plans and coordinates the Member's Annual Meeting, including the associated notices related to Board Members' elections and the Board Organizational Meeting.
  • Maintains and archives the official corporate records of the credit union.
  • Manages calendars, travel arrangements, and some personal communications for the CEO and Chief Experience Officer (CXO), as well as other credit union executives, as requested.
  • Partners with the Talent Team to facilitate executives' involvement in social impact initiatives, such as organizing guest lists for event participation, engaging executives as volunteers in community events, and supporting executives' roles on other nonprofit Boards of Directors.
  • Facilitates and arranges logistics for senior team interactions, such as weekly senior team meetings, monthly Leadership Team Meetings & Town Halls, and annual Business Planning sessions.
  • Oversees hosting of events related to the executive team, such as on-site gatherings for employees, partners, and guests and off-site events hosted by Amplify.
  • Maintains standard operating procedures for fulfilling the job responsibilities described above, and other recurring duties that arise, to support cross-training with other teammates.

We believe these underlying skills are the most important part of the job:

Communication. You communicate honestly and professionally, taking the time to ensure everyone is on the same page. Your interpersonal skills allow you to be confident in your approach and not shy away from conversations with executives and board members.

Proactive. You naturally take the initiative to identify, anticipate, and address potential situations or needs that may arise. Whether it be planning ahead for an upcoming event, anticipating questions or requests from executives, or suggesting solutions when needed, you're always one step ahead.

Sound Judgement. You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments. You're able to sift through the ambiguity and determine what needs to be accomplished first.

Detail-oriented. When it comes to supporting leadership, no one needs to tell you the level of detail and organization that is required. Whether it be managing several calendars, arranging the logistics for an event, or preparing communications for the CEO, your ducks are always in a row.

Service-oriented. Providing exceptional customer service is essential to every role at Amplify. Your positivity and willingness to help shine in supporting our leadership team and the credit union's objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities

May direct the work of others but does not have management responsibilities.

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience directly supporting one or more senior executives.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Committed to ethics and confidentiality.
  • Effective communicator with a diverse range of individuals, both in writing and verbally.
  • Proactive, highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Proficient in exhibiting good judgment and prioritization, even in ambiguous situations.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends and evenings as necessary.
  • Must be bondable by a credit union and either a current Notary Public or eligible to become one.

Nice to Have, But Not Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Proficiency with Board Effect
