Summary
Responsible for preserving the condition of the Company's infrastructure and ensuring that facilities are maintained in a manner that ensures the work areas, buildings and grounds are safe and well-functioning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as apparent or required by management.
Plans, coordinates, and manages repairs to buildings and components, including maintenance and repairs of electrical systems, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, equipment and HVAC.
Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of two corporate residences.
Coordinates the preventative maintenance schedule for grounds-keeping equipment, as well as maintenance and repairs for company-owned vehicles.
Develops blue print drawings, floor plans, and other special drawings using CAD software as needed.
Oversees building projects and sub-contractors while work is being performed on company property.
Inspects building structures to determine the need for repair or renovations.
Reviews utility consumption and internal processes to minimize costs.
Handles special projects and requests as directed by the President & CEO.
Participate in Safety Committee meetings and continuously improve safety conditions throughout the plant.
Coordinate and oversees landscaping activities on site and in corporate residences.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises one Grounds Coordinator. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ability to handle several projects at the same time and communicating with other departments and vendors.

Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree in a Mechanical Science from a two-year college or technical school.
4 - 5 years prior experience managing a modern, automated manufacturing facility.
Advanced knowledge of building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and HVAC.
Experience in facilities management preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to read, understand, and interpret National Building Code, Fire Code, blue prints, and electrical schematics.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
