Position Details:

Summary of Duties:

Perform a variety of assignments in the care of large animal species and facilities within the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Work schedule, 11:00am-8:00pm, Tuesday through Saturday.


Required Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in farm work or maintaining livestock; OR equivalent education/experience.

  • Possession of, or ability to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license.

  • Must be able to work Tuesday-Saturday, 11am-8pm.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with and caring for equine, bovine, ovine, and caprine species.

  • Experience with following biosecurity protocols.

  • Experience hauling large animals.

  • Experience using farm equipment including trucks, manure compactor, skid steer front-end loader, tractor, gator, animal dump truck, and sweeper equipment.

  • Experience in general maintenance and repair.

Monthly Salary:

$2,875 to $3,796 | Range 33 (steps A-M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
