POND is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager (Engineer or Architect) to join our growing, award winning, Federal Design group. We are looking for a self-starting, driven individual who will augment our strong team dynamic and embrace our client-first culture. This person must demonstrate a natural desire to take the initiative, be a leader and must have an objective of exceeding our clients' expectations at every opportunity. This Project Manager will lead, direct and manage every phase of critical Federal Facilities Design projects to assure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations. Successful project managers at Pond & Company share a team based operating philosophy and will be capable of directly managing and coordinating multiple disciplines assigned to a project along with managing sub-consultants. The individual must possess a thorough understanding of the design requirements for federal facilities including DoD and non-DoD Federal agencies.

• Accredited Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture

• 5 years of experience in an architecture, engineering, or construction organization. Federal client arena preferred.

• 1 Years of experience as a Project Manager.

• Professional registration (PE or RA)

• Thorough knowledge of facilities design and construction, contract management, project delivery, and client relationships.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and critical analysis skills. Ability to work with people and strong presentation skills required.

• Experience with Federal contracting and procurement process and procedures

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required within one year of employment

  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Project and/or other software programs applicable to job type.
  • All employees are expected to conduct business in an ethical manner and refrain from dishonest or unethical conduct. Employees shall act in a manner which represents their integrity, impartiality and the best interests of the company and its customers.
  • Occasional attendance at meetings and other off-site events requires the ability to provide reliable transportation and maintain a current, valid driver's license and proof of insurance. Position may require occasional travel. Employee must be able to travel freely on a passport or other official document. Employee must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC). Access to federal installations or other secure facilities may require security badges and employee must be able to obtain basic security clearances.
  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation construction specifications and drawings for Federal applications
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as required
