Presently, MAG Automotive is seeking the following position:

Senior Finance Analyst

SUMMARY:

Develop financial plans and coordinate monthly financial reporting. This job must be carried out in compliance with the Company's Standards of Conduct. Experience in a Manufacturing Project-based business is essential. This experience may come from being internal on an accounting team or from auditing experience with manufacturing companies.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop and maintain financial plans.
  • Assist the Controller in the development and completion of the required schedules and details to complete the Plan.
  • Familiar with percentage of completion sales recognition.
  • Review the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closes to insure compliance with Plan. Prepare appropriate variance analysis as required.
  • Identify variances to Plan and prepare required projections for future periods.
  • Provide weekly cash flow analysis and forecasting.
  • Special projects and analysis as required.
  • Must remain aware of regulatory responsibilities and remain current in technical areas.
  • Writes procedures, trains and directs group in their use to assure compliance with ISO 9001/QS 9000-TE and other quality initiatives.
  • Follows the accounting and finance procedures, and utilizes any applicable work instructions and forms.
  • Adheres to quality, customs, foreign trade zone and environmental processes and procedures.
Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; plus five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Experience:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Knowledge of finance and accounting principles with strong analytical skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Excellent PC skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Complete understanding of cost accounting including POC calculations. Experience in using computerized accounting systems. Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes. Ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software, preferably Microsoft Office.

Experience and Knowledge in SAP.

Experience in TM1 a plus.

Experience in General Tax.

Knowledge and comfort working in global currencies

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
