Hagerty Consulting, Inc., is hiring! We are a nationally recognized, comprehensive emergency management and homeland security consulting firm focused on helping clients prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.
Hagerty has successfully helped clients navigate some of the nation's largest disasters, including 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Sandy, Hurricane Maria, Hurricane Michael, and COVID-19. In recent years, Hagerty has worked side-by-side with state and local governments across the country to rapidly respond to industrial accidents, wildfires, and pandemics while also supporting the transition to and management of recovery operations. Our professionals have supported response and recovery programs coast-to-coast, providing financial and grant management support throughout the recovery process, from grant formulation through closeout. In partnership with our clients, Hagerty's professionals have developed and managed more than $30 billion in disaster recovery grants for our clients.
We are looking for candidates with professional experience in financial analysis and/or government accounting to join our disaster response and recovery team. These professionals will be part of a team supporting a government organization to identify, manage, analyze, reconcile, and organize financial / contract-related data. Professionals will work with a team that includes Hagerty and client personnel to review and perform quality control analysis of supporting documentation; engage with partners and vendors; and prepare and organize requisite invoice packages.
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Review and analyze a large volume of financial / contract documentation.
  • Track, organize, and maintain quality of invoice-related data.
  • Engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Prepare cost analysis and develop analytical methodologies, as needed.
In this role, candidates should have:
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience of at least one year in financial management, accounting, and/or public finance.
  • Extraordinary organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong core competencies in technology and data analysis software applications, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Flexibility, integrity, teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in deliverables.
  • Ability to stay calm and poised under pressure and remain focused when working under tight deadlines.
